Folders
Working With Folders
• Folders add further structure and organization to a database. • Two dimensions to the “large database” problem - storage and navigation. Folders address navigation. • Elements may reside in one or more folders. • Think of folders as analogous to a directory structure, but remember that elements can be in multiple folders. • Numbers display information about the folder • The first number is the number of elements in the folder. • The second number is the total number of elements in that folder plus all subfolders. • If elements are in more than one folder, the second number can be misleading. • The count for the total number of elements in a database class is always correct.
