Ruritan National Annual Report 2023-2024

National Bylaws Amendment #4 – Amend National Bylaws by creating a new Article V Exempt Charitable Organizations. The Chair read the Tellers’ Report for National Bylaws Amendment #4 and declared National Bylaw Amendment #4 adopted. Appeal of Board Action by Delegate Item 1 - Move to rescind board action 2022-08-05 which implemented a new ethics policy and further move to reinstate the 2010 Ethics Policy. The Chair read the Tellers’ Report for Appeal of Board Action by Delegate Item 1 and declared Appeal of Board Action by Delegate Item 1 adopted. Appeal of Board Action by Delegate Item 2 – Move to rescind board action 2023-05-11, which eliminated district caucuses at the Ruritan National Convention and further move to reinstate previous policy from 1998. The Chair read the Tellers’ Report for Appeal of Board Action by Delegate Item 2 and declared the Appeal of Board Action by Delegate Item 2 adopted. NEW BUSINESS The Chair asked if there was any new business to come before the assembly. Gary and Jimmy thanked the Office Staff, the Ruritan National Foundation, and Cassandra Flanagan for their support of the convention, as well as Frank Guthrie for his assistance with the Opening Ceremony and collecting outstanding dues this year. Lynn Fillers and Roger Davis presented a Ruritan Forever to Patrick Bagwell and thanked those who helped contribute to this. Hearing no objection, the Chair declared the meeting adjourned after the Pledge of Allegiance, which will be led by 2023 Foundation President Phillip Bradshaw at 10:00 am. Respectfully submitted,
