GROWING TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

As the need for accessible, affordable healthcare has grown, so has the Community Health Center of the New River Valley — guided by the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthier life. Our 2013 transition from a free clinic to a Federally Qualified Health Center transformed our reach, leading to a ten-fold increase in patients served and a twenty-fold increase in healthcare visits. Today, we look ahead to an exciting new chapter: the construction of a larger Health Center in Montgomery County to serve everyone in the New River Valley. We are working with enthusiasm toward opening this state-of-the-art facility in 2027. The dedication of our Board of Directors and staff has placed us among the top ten percent of health centers nationwide for a third consecutive year — a reflection of both our responsiveness to community needs and the measurable impact on our patients’ health.

While federal funding remains essential, it is the support of our community that keeps our “doors wide open” to those facing barriers to care. Because of you, we bring Health to those who are sick or injured, Healing to those who have endured hardship, and Hope to those who once felt without options. We are proud to share this
