Board of Trustees The Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center is governed by a Board of Trustees that includes six members of the Virginia General Assembly, eight university presidents, two Agency Heads, and seven citizen members appointed by the Governor. The Executive Director/Agency Head of the Higher Education Center reports to the Board of Trustees and Secretary of Education. The Board of Trustees meets twice a year, generally in June and December. Members can choose to send a designee to attend the meeting in their absence.
