Approved March 25, 2022 - Page 9 The Chair thanked Michael Chrisley and the staff at the National Office for the work that they have done in preparation for the National Convention. The Chair called upon National Director Becky Lane, Chair of the Resolutions Committee, for a report. Committee Chair Becky thanked committee members 2021 Dan River District G&D Chair, Barry Sides, and 2021 Western North Carolina G&D Chair, Leslie Gentry, for their work on this committee. Chair Becky presented 4 resolutions from the committee. • Resolution I: A resolution of gratitude and appreciation to Convention Committees, Speakers, Entertainers, Facilities and Ruritan Volunteers. • Resolution II: A resolution of gratitude and appreciation to the National Board Members, National Foundation Trustees and National Administrators. • Resolution III: A resolution of gratitude and appreciation to the United States Armed Forces’ Members and their families. • Resolution IV: A resolution of Appreciation to Ruritan Members Each resolution, after being read, was adopted by unanimous voice vote, and after all resolutions were adopted, a standing ovation was given, as prescribed by the resolution. Copies of these resolutions are on file in the National Office. The Chair called upon Convention Bylaws Committee Chair, Dennis Bagnell for a report. Chair Dennis reported the committee received no delegates during the time they were in session. He advised the delegates they should take advantage of this opportunity at any convention. The Chair called upon Ed Hicks, Chair of the Youth Committee to give a report of their committee’s fundraiser for Youth Camp scholarships. Chair Ed reported havi ng raised $221.00 on the 50/50 Raffle and $150.00 on the Pedal Powered Tractor. Chair Ed thanked everyone for participating and thanked Past National Director, Gary Olinger for supplying the tractor. Debra Knesal of the Chesterfield (VA) Club won the tractor and Brian Grove of the Belmont II Club won $110.50 in the 50/50 raffle. Brian generously donated his winnings back to the committee, directing half his donation goes to the Youth program and half to St. Jude. The Chair called upon members of the Growth, Development and Retention committee, Chair Lynn Fillers, Patsy Shelton, and Becky Lane to come to the stage to recognize all WANTED contest winners and to hold the drawings for the overall WANTED contest winners: • Jane Graves of the Dundas (IL) Club in the Lincolnland District o won one (1) free registration and two (2) nigh t’s stay for Kingsport, TN in 2023. • Joshua Arnold of the Romney Club in the Upper West Virginia District o won one (1) free registration for Kingsport, TN in 2023. • LeeAnn Gragg of the Gamewell Club in the Western North Carolina District o won one (1) flat screen TV.
