Emily Harman
Good and Evil. Light and dark.
They are simply two sides of the same coin.
Imagine a coin flipped in the air.
The light descends into darkness
As the dark is brought to light.
It’s the same with right and wrong.
The lines are too often blurred.
A line so thin, you can hardly see,
So obscure you can’t tell where it falls.
So who is to say when you’ve crossed it?
When the accuser stands on the other side
They only see one of the many lines drawn.
Every day a humble hero sees the world
Turn him into the villain while
The villain is praised for his good work.
This is what happens when Society makes the rules
You no longer get an option on
What you say or what you do.
Some people are so sure they are right
They push their opinion until blood is drawn.
Others are afraid. They are terrified of what they say.
The world gets so offended at every little thing.
There is no longer good or bad, only grey.
Maybe this is why people act this way.
Emily Harman is a college
freshman who dreams of
someday becoming an author.
