(On Demand) BUS 3713 Organizational Theory and Behavior This course takes a behavioral science approach to organizational management challenges created by the interaction of individuals, groups, and organizations. The focus is to deter- mine how knowledge gained about individual and group behavior and organization design impacts organizational effectiveness. Job satisfaction is tightly coupled with social rela- tionships among co-workers and supervisors and is also explored during the course. Top- ics examined include motivation, leadership, interpersonal communication, group structure and processes, personality, emotions, and values, conflict and negotiation, organizational change, and work design. Prerequisite: BUS 3013 or Instructor’s Permission. (Every Fall) BUS 4033 Human Resources Management This course will examine the challenges of current human resource management within the context of a dynamic business environment that is constantly changing. The worldwide recession and accompanying downsizing, changing government and information technolo- gies combined with intensifying global competition have all contributed to the growing complexity of HRM issues.
